Fabrizio Romano has claimed on the Que Golazo YouTube channel that Arsenal striker target is set to leave his club this summer.

During the January transfer window, it was obvious that Arsenal were in the market for a new striker with the likes of Alexander Isak, Dusan Vlahovic and Jonathan David all tipped to make the move to the Emirates recently.

Would you like Arsenal to sign David?

Yes!

No!

No!

This will have been for their push to finish inside the top four, but also with one eye on the summer when their only two senior strikers, Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah, are set to become free agents.

However, no new striker ended up arriving, although they did make an offer for the Lille striker David, according to romano, and he is set to leave the French club this summer, with the Italian journalist revealing his price tag.

(26:58) “Jonathan David, I think will be the biggest name on the market because he’s valued around €50 million many clubs from the Premier League, Italy and Spain are exploring this possibility.

So for Jonathan David, there will be the chance to meet the club and he had a proposal from Arsenal in January but for Lille, it was not even a topic to sell him in January because they wanted to keep him.”

Where did Arsenal sign these players from, let's start with an easy one! Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The Lille striker has been in fine form for the French club this season netting 13 goals in Ligue 1, and it’s certainly not just a one-off as last campaign his record was equally impressive with 13 goals across all competitions, despite still being just 22-years old.

However, with Lille putting up a disastrous defence of their Ligue 1 title, David is seemingly destined to leave the club this summer and if Arsenal are able to finish in the top four and offer the Canadian striker Champions League football and a place within a very young side growing together, that could be just the striker they need to help Mikel Arteta’s side take the next step.
