Kieran Trippier has continued to poke fun at his Newcastle United teammate Matt Targett on Instagram.
Trippier was the very first signing made by PIF since they completed the takeover of Newcastle United and he made an instant impact scoring two goals in his only four league appearances this season for the Magpies, while also keeping two clean sheets and remains unbeaten as a Newcastle player.

However, he was dealt a cruel injury blow against Aston Villa when he broke a bone in his foot and hasn’t played since but is now back in training with his teammates and looks to be nearing a return to first-team action, which will be great news for Eddie Howe and the supporters.
It’s not just the impact he’s had on the pitch with Trippier clearly a character away from St James’ Park having poked fun at his teammate and fellow January signing Targett on Instagram, having posted a photo of him seemingly being moved aside by Callum Wilson with the caption ‘still hasn’t touched the weights.’

This certainly isn’t the first time that Trippier has poked fun at Targett as only yesterday he posted a picture of the loanee on the floor having just been dribbled past by Trippier, with Targett claiming it was a photoshopped image.
With Trippier and Targett clearly having a good relationship and bond off the pitch, that will only benefit the Magpies going forward when Trippier returns to the side as they will likely have great chemistry on the pitch and making them a solid full-back duo.
