Sean Casey has claimed on the Loaded HQ YouTube channel that Newcastle United have already met with Lucas Paqueta’s agent.

It has been widely reported that Newcastle hold an interest in Lyon’s Paqueta who is a very good friend of instant hit on Tyneside Bruno Guimaraes with the pair being pictured playing football in the latter’s back garden wearing a Newcastle shirt each.

Should Newcastle sign Paqueta?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Guimaraes, who only arrived in January and is already the club’s second top scorer, has previously admitted that if the Magpies managed to sign his former teammate, then it would be a ‘dream’ for him and the fact he’s already been seen in a Newcastle shirt could point towards Paqueta being interested in a move.

When asked if Paqueta to Newcastle is going to happen this summer.

(34:10) “I think it is, so I think everything is agreed with the player, they met with his agent over the last couple of weeks, so everything is in place there.”

How well do you remember Newcastle's January transfer window? An easy one to start with: where did Newcastle sign Bruno Guimaraes from?

It would be a sensational move from Newcastle if they were to land a second Brazilian international from under the noses of Arsenal for the second time in two transfer windows after they signed Guimaraes before the Gunners, but with reports of the Magpies’ restricted £60 million budget, it could prove to be a very difficult deal.

The midfielder has already been around Newcastle having a little tour of the place in the last week with Guimaraes taking him out to see the sights and even snapped a few pictures together, so if Paqueta does join, he will already be familiar with his surroundings it would appear.
