Sean Casey has been speaking on the Loaded HQ YouTube channel about how Kalvin Phillips is interested in a move to Newcastle United.

It appears that Newcastle could be set for somewhat a summer overhaul with six players all tipped to leave as the club looks to take a step up the Premier League and somewhat that appears destined for the exit door is Isaac Hayden who tweeted out about how it will be a pleasure to watch the club grow in whatever capacity.

Would Phillips start for Newcastle?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Some of Newcastle’s transfer business could depend on the future of other teams as they have been credited with an interest in Leeds United duo Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips, so if the Whites end up getting related on Sunday those two may be of interest to PIF.

Casey believes that the latter is certainly interested in a move to Tyneside.

“If Leeds get relegated I think Kalvin Phillips is very keen on a move to Newcastle, out of all the options that he has, I think he’d probably choose Newcastle and I think it’s only a deal that we would do if Leeds got relegated – that’s when he comes into the equation, if they get relegated.”

TIF Thoughts on Phillips…

How well do you remember Newcastle's January transfer window? An easy one to start with: where did Newcastle sign Bruno Guimaraes from?

Interestingly, Kieran Trippier was full of praise for the midfielder last year as he called what he’s done at Leeds ‘phenomenal’, as well as being wowed by him in training.

If Newcastle are able to attract an England international and regular in Kalvin Phillips for a potential cut-price fee if Leeds go down, it would appear to be a no-brainer and would surely upgrade the Magpies’ midfield depth.

Phillips, who is a Leeds fan through and through having come up at the club’s academy would not have to relocate very much if he was to make the switch and move a bit further up north and play under Eddie Howe, and with the owner’s ambitions to win the Premier League in the next 10 years, he could well be tempted, if Leeds are relegated.
