Graeme Bailey has been speaking on the Talking Transfers podcast about what he’s heard concerning Manchester United’s Paul Pogba and his future.

It appears that Paul Pogba’s future will be a likely topic of discussion for the majority of the summer as his contract continues to run down at Man United and Fabrizio Romano reporting that the Red Devils believe his time with the club is over.

Has Pogba been a flop at Man United?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

The French midfielder has reportedly turned down an approach from the Premier League champions Manchester City to join them in the summer as a free agent and despite recently being booed by his own fans, Pogba seemingly didn’t want to make the move across Manchester.

This is something that Bailey has claimed is down to Pogba’s love for Man United.

(19:15) “It was said to me close to Pogba’s camp that he still loves Man United, he totally respects what they’re trying to create, he loves Sir Alex Ferguson and he loves the fans no matter what the reaction has been to him in the last few months he’s not going to ever stop loving the club and that’s another reason why I don’t think he’ll sign for another English team.”

Manchester United fans, do you remember how many points you picked up in seasons gone by? Let's find out, starting with 2020/21

The Frenchman was a blockbuster signing back in 2016 when he arrived from Juventus for a homecoming having left as a free agent in 2012 but after 229 appearances during this second stint, it’s safe to say that it hasn’t been the match made in heaven given the reception he’s received when being substituted off the pitch lately.

With Man United fans not showing much respect towards Pogba, it would not have been a major shock had he gone and joined the Blue half of the city, much like Carlos Tevez did all those years ago, but it appears that the midfielder is being the bigger man and not ruining his relationship with the club, which has to be admired.
