Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliot has taken to Instagram to send the Reds faithful a message that he is working hard in training.

Elliot has had a frustrating season with Liverpool, where his campaign has been riddled with injuries and then he has found it hard to get back into the side upon his return. The 19-year-old has featured just 10 times in all competitions this season, and only five of those appearances have come in the Premier League.

The English winger dislocated his ankle in September which saw him out of action until February when he returned in the FA Cup against Cardiff City, where he scored in a 3-1 victory for his side.

Do you think Elliot should be sent on loan next season?

No

Luis Diaz was brought in at Anfield during the January transfer window, which naturally saw Elliot drop down the pecking order because he was injured at the time, and with the impressive form of Liverpool, the 19-year-old found it difficult to get back into the side.

Elliot took to Instagram to update the Liverpool faithful with a photo of him in training with the caption, ‘Working’.

TIF Thoughts on Harvey Elliot…

Elliot was enjoying his return to the Premier League with his parent club Liverpool, before his injury, after impressing last season on loan with Blackburn Rovers in the Championship where he scored seven goals and registered 11 assists in 42 appearances in all competitions.

With the introduction of Diaz to the club, Liverpool now have Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and Diaz who could all be considered ahead of Elliot in the pecking order, but with the latter’s age, he could be sent out on loan next term to get some more regular first-team football.

Jurgen Klopp might seek to offload one of the highly rated attackers, to get Elliot some much-needed game time next season, rather than him going out on loan again, as he has already proven himself in the Championship last term.
