Former Premier League striker Dion Dublin has detailed the upbeat mood in the Leeds United dressing room.

The 111-goal English top-flight ace has revealed the jovial nature of the squad despite the fact that the players are embroiled in a relegation battle.

Pascal Struijk’s late equaliser earned what could prove to be a crucial point for the Whites against Brighton on Sunday.

Jesse Marsch’s men moved out of the bottom three, one point in front of Burnley, but they have played a game more than the Clarets.

However, even though fate is out of their hands, Dublin has insisted that the squad are in the right frame of mind.

Speaking on the Premier League Weekend Review (via MOT Leeds News), Dublin said:

“What I’ve heard is that there’s good personnel in the dressing room. Good character. They never know when they’re beat and that’s really important.”

TIF Thoughts on Leeds…

Supporters of the Yorkshire club must be proud of how their team carved out what could be the difference between staying up or going down in their last home game of the season, and as they head to Brentford on the final day, this update from Dublin will be sure to encourage the fans even more.

Will Raphinha still be a Leeds United player at the start of next season?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Having only achieved promotion in 2020 after a 16-year exodus from the Premier League, nobody associated with Leeds United will want to return to the Championship after just two seasons back, and it seems as if the players are up for the fight as well.

It will be an intriguing final week of the campaign with Burnley having the chance to overtake Leeds before the final day as they head to Aston Villa on Thursday night, but that won’t be an easy task and nor will their home game with Newcastle next Sunday, so the Whites still stand every chance of beating the drop.
