Journalist Conor McGilligan has admitted that he could see Leeds United winger Jack Harrison leaving the club this summer.
McGilligan was speaking off the back of reports from The Telegraph linking Newcastle United with a move for Harrison, who scored on the final day to ensure Leeds’ survival in the Premier League.

With Jesse Marsch preparing for his first full season at Elland Road, plenty of ins and outs are expected as the American looks to put his stamp on the side, with United States international Brenden Aaronson already rumoured to be on his way.
With star players Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips already heavily tipped to depart, McGilligan feels that the loss of the 25-year-old is also possible.
Speaking on the One Leeds Fan Channel on YouTube, he said: “I can see this being quite a realistic one.
“I can see the value being there, and listen, you’ve seen Newcastle when they’ve been gunning for players – Bruno Guimaraes, Dan Burn, Kieran Trippier – they have been quite successful in luring players away, and you’ve got to think, if Newcastle were able to sell Jack Harrison the dream of Champions League football, which I don’t think Leeds will be able to do, it’s a big move for him.”

With Marsch already looking like losing his right-sided winger, it is unlikely that he will look to lose another prominent wide-man in the side, especially considering how the two have known each other since their days in New York with the manager formerly of the Red Bulls, while Harrison spent time in the Big Apple at New York City FC in 2018.
The former Manchester City and Manchester United youth player was also the club’s second-highest scorer this season with 10 goals – just one off Raphinha – and losing him on top of the Brazilian certainly can’t be an option.
However, with Newcastle now backed by PIF, Thorp Arch executives could be persuaded to part with the player they signed for £11m at the start of the most recent campaign.
