Who was sent off in his first game as captain?

Kenneh has spent the majority of his youth career at the Premier League outfit, but ultimately did not make a senior appearance for the Whites. Now, he has moved on to Hibernian, signing a three-year contract with the Scottish outfit after his contract ran out at Elland Road.

Kenneh was clearly emotional at leaving the club, writing on Instagram: “Still Can’t believe am writing this… but after nearly 8 years at @leedsunited, my time here has come to an end.

“I have had so many great memories and experiences along the way; from winning player of the tournament in the Galway Cup to winning the PL2 league last season (and of course getting my first yellow card in the Prem).

“I would like to thank all the players and coaches that I have played and worked with over these years; together you made me a better player and person and I will never forget how fortunate I was working with yous daily.

“And to the fans…What can I say! I wish I could’ve had more memories with you together. Thank you for your incredible support and am sure we WILL cross paths again in the future!”

TIF Thoughts on Kenneh…

Unfortunately, Kenneh, who was hailed as ‘outstanding’ for a recent Leeds U23 performance, has not been able to force his way into Jesse Marsch’s plans. That is understandable given the difficult situation the American inherited. He has featured 25 times in the Premier League 2, though, while he has previously appeared for England U17s.

Ultimately, it never looked likely that Kenneh would make a big impact with the Yorkshire side, and this move makes sense for all involved. Everyone at Leeds will surely wish him well as he embarks on a new challenge, and their paths may well cross again in the future.
