Leeds United have been linked with potentially making four new signings this summer, with a striker being one of them.

And journalist Conor McGilligan has taken to Twitter to share his thoughts ahead of the summer window following recent transfer claims from transfer insider Dean Jones.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, Jones provided his insight as to what a realistic summer transfer window for the Whites could look like.

He said: “I think, realistically, four good signings is probably what you could expect because of the way the market is going to be in terms of the value of people.

“They’re going to go for a striker, there’s no doubt about that.”

These comments were relayed on Twitter by the One Leeds Fan Channel, to which McGilligan provided the one-word response: “Plz.”

Leeds have been linked to the likes of Huddersfield Town’s Lewis O’Brien and attacker Noa Lang ahead of the summer window.

However, there is the obvious threat of losing both Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips, with the futures of both Leeds mainstays being put under doubt following the disappointing campaign.

TIF Thoughts on McGilligan’s reply…

The Yorkshire club have already got off the mark this summer with the addition of Brenden Aaronson, who has been a target for the club since January after their failed attempts earlier in the year.

However, it is apparent McGilligan is hoping for Leeds to continue with their additions following what was a pretty abysmal campaign for the Yorkshire club.

There is no doubt Leeds had their fair share of bad luck through injuries over the 2021/22 campaign, however, this only highlighted their lack of squad depth.

And the absence of Patrick Bamford was possibly the most significant of all the injuries, with their 2020/21 top scorer leaving a huge void for Leeds in front of goal, so we can see why these claims have got McGilligan pleading for action.
