Journalist Beren Cross has revealed that Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch did ‘not like’ a cameraman getting too close to him after the club’s recent game.

In their last Premier League outing, the Whites edged themselves one point closer to safety as they picked up a late draw against Brighton & Hove Albion at Elland Road.

After Danny Welbeck had opened the scoring for the Seagulls, Pascal Struijk’s injury-time equaliser was enough to see things end all square at 1-1.

This was the final home game of the season for Leeds, and Cross wrote about that after the match for LeedsLive. And while the players took their customary lap around the pitch to thank fans for their support, the writer spotted Marsch in conversation with Jack Harrison.

A cameraman seemingly got too close for comfort, with the club’s manager sending the individual away. Cross explained: “Of the moments which stood out from the final lap, Marsch was walking in front of the Jack Charlton Stand with Harrison.

“One cameraman was tracking them both from a few feet away and the American did not like it, beckoning him away.”

TIF Thoughts on Jesse Marsch and Leeds…

This incident certainly shows Marsch is not afraid to impose himself on a situation, and it’s not the first time he’s done so since arriving in Yorkshire.

Indeed, he was more than happy to speak his mind when it came to commenting on the training regime of former Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa. The American said that his predecessor had ‘over-trained’ the players before he arrived.

Which comedian supports the Whites?

Perhaps this bold sort of personality is what the club needs if they are to escape relegation. With just one game left to play this term, the Whites are only one place and one point above the relegation zone. If Marsch can get the job done and keep his side in the Premier League, fans won’t care how he deals with the media.
