Beren Cross has revealed that any future stadium developments will be on hold if Leeds United are relegated.

Being relegated out of the Premier League would have massive implications on Leeds with star players likely to jump ship, finances usually have to be cut given the severe drop in TV income money and long-term plans abandoned, with Adrea Radrizzani previously claiming he wanted European football for Leeds in the next two or three years.

Will Leeds avoid relegation?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

However, they could all become realities for Leeds by Sunday night if they fail to win against Brentford and Burnley also pick up a positive result and that would see the club take one huge step backwards both on and off the pitch.

During a Q&A for Leeds Live, Cross has claimed that without a bright future in the Premier League, stadium developments will be well and truly on hold as he told fans ‘It’s hard to see the club financing anything on Elland Road development without a bold and bright PL future.’

TIF Thoughts on Leeds’ future…

This was a low point in Leeds United's history, but how many points did they get in the 2003/04 campaign?

If Leeds were to drop down into the Championship then almost certainly duo Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha would leave with a whole host of clubs interested in the pair, but relegation would affect things off the pitch as Cross mentioned.

Leeds have been playing at Elland Raod as it is now since 2011/12 when it was last redeveloped and with plans to do so once again well and truly in the pipelines before the decline on the pitch it would surely raise the question, when would they be able to do any sort of work if they got stuck in England’s second tier.
