Journalist Conor McGilligan has slammed Barcelona for their reported bid for Leeds United star Raphinha.
The Spanish giants have long been linked with a possible move for the winger and it looks as though a deal could be completed this summer.
However, it seems as though this deal could be a long way from being completed. With that in mind, McGilligan has criticised Barcelona for supposedly making a €35m (£29.7m) bid in the past.
While speaking on the One Leeds Fan YouTube channel, he said (09:44): “It will really peeve me off if we sell him [Raphinha] on and get Sergino Dest and we get 35 million euro in for him.
“Allegedly they’re offering 35 million euros for this guy. They are jokers, they’re absolute jokers.”
Will Raphinha still be at Leeds next season?

TIF thoughts on Raphinha’s future and Leeds
As he alludes too, Leeds have been linked with making a possible deal with Barcelona which could see Raphinha go and Dest arrive – according to TEAMtalk, the Whites are keen on the right-back.
However, McGilligan clearly feels as though that the club’s winger is worth much more than the €35m and Dest. No doubt, the club’s retained status as a Premier League club has strengthened their position.
Worryingly, though, Sky Sports News claim Raphinha would like to join Barcelona and that he has two years left on his contract at Leeds and is not expected to sign a new deal.
If that is the case, the Yorkshire club may be forced into a sale whether they think the price is right or not.
