Journalist Conor McGilligan has expressed his desire for Leeds United to go out and sign midfielder Sander Berge next.
Having only just avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth, the Whites will no doubt be looking to improve their squad this summer. In fact, they have already taken steps to do so.
Indeed, before the transfer market has even officially opened, they have officially announced an agreement with Red Bull Salzburg for Brenden Aaronson, which will be completed in July.
Reacting to this news with great excitement, McGilligan then tipped the club to follow up that move with another transfer in the neat future.
He wrote on Twitter: “Sander Berge next, dare to dream?”

TIF thoughts on Sander Berge and Leeds…
One advantage of signing Berge, who is valued at £14.4 million (as per Transfermarkt), would be that he has experience of playing in the Premier League. Across the span of two seasons, he made 29 appearances with Sheffield United, so wouldn’t take long to adjust to the division.
This term, of course, he has been playing in the Championship and has been an integral part of the Blades’ set up playing 31 games in a number of midfield roles.
However, as they couldn’t manage promotion, and Leeds have kept themselves in the top-flight, it’s easy to see why a move could tempt Berge. Perhaps the Whites will act out McGilligan’s ‘dream’ and push for the signing in the coming months.
