Former Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has mocked current midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure for his latest Instagram post.

Everton were very impressive on the weekend picking up a potentially unexpected three points at home to Chelsea, who are fighting for the top four, and even finished the game with a higher XG than their opponents, showing how much they deserved the win.

Is Doucoure Everton's most important player?

Yes!

Someone who has been a major influence on Everton’s rare bright sparks this season is Abdoulaye Doucoure with the Toffees only managing to win one league game all season when the midfielder hasn’t been available despite him missing eight games in the Premier League.

Doucoure is clearly a crucial play in this Everton side, however he doesn’t appear to be the savviest person when it comes to social media as he’s posted a picture on his Instagram that is covered in watermark images from the photographer, which has led his former teammate Bolasie to poke fun at him about not being in a group chat where images without watermarks are handed out.

Which of these Serie A stars did the Toffees miss out on?

Bolasie never lived up to his £25 million price tag when he swapped Crystal Palace for Everton making just 32 appearances between 2016 and 2021, but he appears to have been a very likeable and infectious person within the dressing room if he feels like he’s good enough friends with Doucoure to publicly mock him on Instagram.

While Everton are in the thick of a relegation battle, the type of pictures that Docuoure posts on his Instagram will likely be the last thing on his and the fans’ minds and the fact he seemingly isn’t in a group chat to get sent photos of themselves playing, probably highlights the type of player he is, just focussed on what happens on the pitch.
