Journalist Alex Crook has claimed that Conor Gallagher could go on loan to Everton ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.
Gallagher has spent this season on loan with Crystal Palace from fellow Premier League club Chelsea and was a mainstay in the side, scoring eight goals and registering three assists in 34 league games under Patrick Vieira, as well as winning Player of the Year.
The English midfielder has been impressive this term – earning a place in the England squad – and will return to parent club Chelsea following the end of the season.
Despite Gallagher impressing on loan with the Eagles this campaign, Crook has claimed to GiveMeSport that he may head out on loan to Everton next season rather than stay at Selhurst Park.
He said: “I think Lampard knows they need a rebuild, but he will have to be quite shrewd in the transfer market and maybe use his contacts to get a couple of loans.
“I was told Conor Gallagher possibly could end up there on loan rather than stay at Crystal Palace, to mould the team in his own image.”

TIF Thoughts on Crook’s comments…
Gallagher has been a top performer for Palace this season. In the Premier League, he has the highest average player rating at the club (7.08), the second-most goal contributions (11) and the second-highest amount of key passes on average per game (1.1), as per SofaScore.
With the impressive stats of Gallagher, and the midfielder being named in the national squad, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel may be inclined to give him an opportunity in the Blues first team next season, so it will be interesting to see where he ends up playing his football.
Talk of Gallagher heading on loan to Goodison Park may be to do with the Chelsea connection with Frank Lampard and the similar roles that the Chelsea legend and the 22-year-old play.
