Graeme Bailey has been speaking on the Talking Transfers podcast about how he expects Sadio Mane to commit his future to Liverpool at the end of the season.

After a superb run of recent form which has seen Mane net 12 goals in his last 19 matches for Liverpool, the Senegalese forward has been linked with a move to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich this summer as he enters the final 12 months of his contract.

Should Mane get a new contract?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Mane has been an excellent servant for the Reds since he joined from Southampton in 2016 for just £37 million having been part of both their Premier League and Champions League winning squads while racking up 166 goal involvements in 266 games for Liverpool.

Despite some interest in Mane’s services, Bailey fully expects Mane to sign a new contract this summer.

(32:15) “I think for Mane, £250-300,000 is about right and if Mane signs that deal we think at the end of the season as Liverpool have said to him. We know he’s going to stay and it’s a no brainer going to happen.”

It’s no surprise that clubs like Bayern Munich are interested in signing Mane, especially if they could potentially lose Robert Lewandowski, however, with Liverpool’s title rivals Manchester City adding Erling Haaland to their ranks, they will be looking to improve not lose one of their star performers.

The forward will likely be in the reckoning for the Ballon d’Or if Liverpool manage to clinch the Champions League as he will have then won the African Cup of Nations, Carabao Cup, potentially FA Cup and then the Champions League, so rightly Mane should be getting rewarded by Liverpool for everything he’s done at Anfield.
