Do you remember where Aston Villa made their signings from? Take our quiz to find out! First up, who did Frederic Guilbert turn out for immediately before moving to Villa Park?

Villa succumbed 3-2 to the Citizens in the Premier League on Sunday despite taking a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Matty Cash and Philippe Coutinho. £31.5m-valued Watkins played the full 90 minutes, and while he did provide an assist, missed a huge opportunity to score early in the second half.

Writing on Twitter, Collymore suggested Watkins is replaceable for the Villans, saying: “That’s why, for me, Ollie Watkins is replaceable.”

TIF Thoughts on Watkins…

Watkins is Villa’s top scorer this term, having found the back of the 11 times in all competitions. Across his two campaigns for the club, he has scored 27 goals in 76 games – hardly a terrible return – but Villa may well have expected more for the £28m they parted with for his services.

Steven Gerrard is said to be looking for players of Champions League quality, and if they do want to challenge for a European spot, Villa will need their star striker to score more than 11 in a season. It is perhaps too soon to suggest the England international should be replaced, but he needs to be far more clinical next term if he wants to remain in the manager’s plans, so we can see why Collymore has his doubts over Watkins.
