Football writer Charles Watts has revealed that Arsenal should receive a welcome injury boost ahead of Sunday’s meeting with Leeds United.

With four games left to play Mikel Arteta’s side are currently positioned in the final Champions League place.

Three straight wins over European contenders Chelsea, Manchester United and West Ham has put Arteta’s side in a commanding position in the race for the top four and now Watts has unveiled some encouraging news heading into the final quartet of fixtures.

Ben White sat out their 2-1 win at the London Stadium last week while Bukayo Saka had to be subbed of late on.

Meanwhile, right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu made his first start since New Year’s Day having recovered from a calf problem and all three are expected to continue in the side this weekend.

Speaking on his YouTube channel Watts said:

(2:36) “ I’m expecting, I’d say as it stands that all three of these players might well start for Arsenal at the weekend. You’d certainly say the biggest doubt will be Ben White because hamstrings you don’t want to take any issue with and they’ll be checking that all out as the week progresses.”

TIF Thoughts on Arsenal…

By the time they take the field on Sunday, the Gunners could be knocked into fifth by Tottenham Hotspur who travel to Anfield on Saturday night or they could have the chance to move five points clear of their rivals ahead of next Thursday’s north London derby.

Where did Arsenal sign these players from, let's start with an easy one! Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

With Burnley and Everton picking up points, Leeds are now firmly in the scrap for survival and are just two points above the drop zone having played a game more than the Toffees so it won’t be as easy a task as some may think but if this trio are indeed fit to start it would greatly increase the club’s chances of at least restoring their position inside the top-four.
