Sunderland’s Alex Neil could be set for a big injury boost soon if Leon Dajaku’s Instagram post is anything to go by.

The Black Cats have bounced back from a turbulent January and February which saw Lee Johnson sacked and Sunderland go on a run of just one win in 10 league games and now find themselves sitting in the play-off spots and just six points behind Rotherham United who occupy the last automatic place.

Will Sunderland be promoted this season?

Yes!

Sunderland have just two games left to play this season until the play-offs and Neil will be hoping that they can finally get out of League One and avoid making it a fifth straight season in England’s third tier.

Someone that could come in and give Sunderland a spark at the business end of the season is Dajaku who’s only played 22 games in the league this season because of team section and injury issues, with just four assists and four goals to his name and he could be set to increase that record as the winger has posted a picture of him celebrating with the caption ‘can’t wait to be back.’

TIF Thoughts on Dajaku…

This current PL centre-back almost signed for Sunderland back in 2015.

Leon Dajaku missed seven of Sunderland’s last nine games and only managed to feature for 47 minutes in the two games that he did play in and the attacker even jetted back to his home country of Germany for some treatment over the Easter period.

While Dajaku has not been a regular since he arrived on Wearside on loan last summer, Alex Neil would likely welcome his return if he is that eager and judging by the caption on his latest post, he appears to be very keen to get back and helping the Black Cats.
