Kemar Roofe has sent Giovani van Bronckhorst a major injury boost as the Rangers star has posted a workout video on his Instagram.

The Jamaican international was ruled out for several weeks a few days ago by Giovani van Bronckhorst alongside Aaron Ramsey, with the former’s injury meaning that the Gers are now without their two main striker options with Alfredo Morelos also on the sidelines.

Will Rangers win a trophy this season?

Van Bronckhorst will have been delighted yesterday as his side won 3-1 away to Motherwell despite having 10 men for the majority of the game and Fashion Sakala playing through the middle, something he had only done 10 times prior to yesterday.

Roofe, who has been ruled out for a prolonged period of time, is already working behind the scenes with the striker posting a video on his Instagram of him back in the gym with some weights.

If Roofe is already back working in the gym then that may well point toward the striker making a swifter return than first anticipated to training and matches, which would be huge for Rangers’ pursuit of the SPFL title and progression in the Europa League.

The injury to Roofe has come at possibly the worst time given there are only a handful of games left in the league to claw back the title out of Celtic’s grasp, and also have a massive trip away to RB Leipzig on Thursday in the Europa League semi-final.
