Amad Diallo has sent Giovanni van Bronckhorst a positive message on Instagram after Rangers were dealt a cruel injury blow.
After booking their spot in the Scottish Cup final with a 2-1 Old Firm win last weekend, the Gers are now gearing up for an important game against Motherwell, before they then travel to RB Leipzig in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final tie.
Would you want Diallo start for Rangers?
Rangers have impressively progressed through some pretty difficult knockout games in the Europa League against the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Braga, Van Bronckhorst may have been confident of claiming another scalp in the form of Leipzig, that was until he was handed a double injury blow that will see Aaron Ramsey and Kemar Roofe out for several weeks.
However, fans and Van Bronckhorst may not be too worried about those injuries, especially to Roofe, if Diallo can score like he has been doing in training, as he’s posted three videos of him scoring impressively during a recent training session.
TIF Thoughts on Diallo…
The Ivory Coast international decided to head out on loan in January after extremely limited minutes at Manchester United, but after a dream debut where he netted for the Gers, it’s been a slippery downhill slope since then with just two more starts and zero goal involvements.
However, with Roofe now out injured alongside fellow striker Alfredo Morelos, it could see someone such as Fashion Sakala deployed as a makeshift striker, leaving a spot out wide for Diallo to potentially grasp and play a big role in Rangers’ crucial European push and title charge.
