Kemar Roofe was the main man for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side, completing his hattrick with just 50 minutes on the clock, putting the game beyond St Mirren nice and early. The scoring was completed by Joe Aribo after 76 minutes to ensure that maximum points returned to Ibrox.

Understandably, the hattrick hero will be taking the majority of the plaudits for a sensational performance, but he isn’t the only one receiving high praise.

It was a vital win for Rangers who couldn’t afford to lose any more ground in the title race to their rivals Celtic. The result now means that the Gers still trail by six points with time running out, you feel it would take a serious collapse from Celtic to allow Rangers to win their second title in two years. All the Ibrox outfit can do is keep winning and hope for a slip up.
