West Ham United are enjoying a brilliant season under David Moyes, they’re still pushing for a European spot in the Premier League and have a Europa League semi-final to look forward to.

However, things have dropped off slightly in the Premier League with defeat against Chelsea and Brentford, as well as dropping points against Burnley.

Do you think West Ham will win the Europa League?

No

But, one positive thing according to journalist Paul Brown is that Tomas Soucek is still happy at West Ham amid a hold on contract talks, as he said:

“Soucek is definitely happy at the club. He likes the players and the manager. He has enjoyed his time there. If a bigger team in the Champions League were to come in for him, he would have a decision to make.”

TIF thoughts on Paul Brown’s comments…

There’s no doubting that if clubs in the Champions League come in for a player that isn’t competing in the competition then it’s hard to keep hold of their services. Although, Soucek is rated at £40.5 million so you would think it would take a monster offer to sign him.

However, it sounds like Soucek is more than keen to stay at the London Stadium, so a new deal could definitely be struck in the future. Let’s not forget, the Hammers are just three wins away from qualifying for the Champions League themselves should they conquer the Europa League.
