Journalist Pete O’Rourke has claimed that Spurs could be looking at Juventus defender Juan Cuadrado in the summer.

Juan Cuadrado has been a mainstay in the Juventus side this season, he has featured 28 times in Serie A, whilst chipping in with four goals and three assists, according to Transfermarkt. Over the past seven seasons, the Columbian defender has made 260 appearances for Juventus.

The right-back’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and Spurs have reportedly been in contact with his agent regarding a move to the white side of North London.

With the news that Spurs have been linked with a move for Cuadrado, Pete O’Rourke spoke to GIVEMESPORT and highlighted how versatile the player is, and identified what he can offer to Antonio Conte.

“Cuadrado could be somebody they could land this summer, and he can play in so many different roles as well. He can play as a right wing-back or further up as a winger as well. He’s got loads of experience of playing at the highest level,” O’Rourke said.

Juan Cuadrado is a 33-year-old versatile defender who is currently valued at £9 million, this season in the Serie A for Juventus, he has an average pass completion rate of 89% per game, has a successful dribble rate of 64% per game, and has made zero errors that have led to a shot, as per Sofascore.

Antonio Conte will be familiar with Cuadrado, after his time managing in Italy. The Columbian is extremely versatile, he has played 12 games at right-back, 12 games at right-midfield and he has even featured further forward in a right-winger role for Juventus this season, as per Whoscored.

He currently earns £152k per week, which amounts to £7,904,000 per year and shares the same agent as newly-found Spurs star Dejan Kulusevski.

Another interesting fact about the South American is that he’s faster than Spurs target Adama Traore, with Cuadrado’s top speed in the Champions League currently standing at 37.1 km/h compared to the Spaniard’s £36.6 km/h.
