Newcastle United continued their upward trajectory under Eddie Howe, moving up to ninth in the Premier League table after brushing aside Norwich City 3-0 at Carrow Road.
The visitors took a two-goal lead into the interval as Joelinton bagged himself a six-minute brace towards the end of the half to pretty much put the game to bed for the Magpies.

It didn’t take long in the second period for Newcastle to strengthen their grip on the game, as Bruno Guimaraes found the back of the net to send the Magpies into a 3-0 lead, putting the clash well beyond the Canaries.
Guimaraes then took to Instagram to celebrate the win, posting: “He wears a magic hat!!! Brilliant performance guys. Love it.”
The fact he’s included the ‘he wears a magic hat’ line from his chant will be loved by the supporters, with the Brazilian embracing the Toon Army.

His post also grabbed the attention of co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi, who commented to show his approval of the Brazilian’s performance, as well as Riquelme and Matt Targett.
Guimaraes has had a huge impact since arriving in January. He has four goals and an assist in his 13 Premier League outings, proving to be a real asset to the Magpies, offering a goalscoring threat from the middle of the park. It’s safe to say he’s played his part in Newcastle moving 15 points clear of the drop zone.
