Eddie Howe has impressed many behind the scenes at Newcastle United since being appointed back in November.
This is according to Sky Sports correspondent for the Toon, Keith Downie, who was speaking to This Is Futbol earlier this week with Newcastle looking to find some form.

It has been a difficult couple of weeks for the Magpies after what was an encouraging run of form which came to an abrupt end following their defeat against Chelsea.
However, the 44-year-old has guided the Tyneside club out of the relegation zone as they now sit in 15th place and seven points adrift of 18th-placed Burnley.
And it is apparent his efforts behind the scenes have been noted by the players on Tyneside as Downie revealed what they have said about their manager:
“And without doubt, he puts so much work in behind the scenes and you hear that from the players who talk about him. And I think that has shown in the performances and the results,” said the Sky Sports man.

Newcastle fans will love to hear this. It has been a difficult campaign on the whole for the Toon having lingered around the bottom end of the table all season.
However, Howe and his men put on an impressive run from the backend of January through to March will, ultimately, will be looked at as the reason for their survival.
And if they are to survive this season, we will be intrigued to see how the 44-year-old guides the club through the summer transfer window with their new regime now at the helm.
