Fabrizio Romano has been speaking on the FIVE YouTube channel about which players are set to leave Manchester United.

The Red Devils, after a lot of speculation, finally announced who their new manager would be for the start of next season, and it is set to be the current Ajax boss, Erik ten Hag, which will allow the club to start thinking and building towards the future.

Will Ten Hag be a success at Man United?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

While the news of Ten Hag could be great and exciting for some players such as Donny van de Beek, who played under the Ajax boss during their time together in the Eredivisie, it won’t be great for everyone plying their trade at Old Trafford.

Nemanja Matic recently announced he would be leaving the club at the end of the season, with Romano suggesting he won’t be the only one – with Juan Mata, Edinson Cavani and Jesse Lingard also expected to be leaving Old Trafford this summer.

“Many players know they’re going to leave, Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard, Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata, they’re going to leave the club.”

Manchester United fans, do you remember how many points you picked up in seasons gone by? Let's find out, starting with 2020/21

TIF Thoughts on Romano’s exit claim…

These four players are ones that haven’t featured all too often this season with Matic the leader in appearances with 19 in the league, although only 12 of those have been starts, whereas someone like Lingard was very close to leaving in January.

It is a sign of intent from the Manchester United board and Erik ten Hag that they are set to be ruthless this summer in axing a lot of players who have become a bit of deadwood at Old Trafford to get them off the wage bill and offer the incoming the boss as much money in a transfer fund and in wages this summer.
