Liam Kennedy has been speaking on the Black & White podcast about the approach PIF will have to Newcastle United signings this summer.
Newcastle United now find themselves on 40 points and now 12 points above the bottom three, all but securing their Premier League safety for this campaign, which may allow PIF and the rest of the Toon board to start planning for what will likely be a busy and exciting summer on Tyneside.
Will PIF back Howe this summer?

If the Magpies’ recent run of form is a signal of things to come next season under Howe and PIF, then fans may start dreaming of pushing at the right end of the table come again after so long being attached to the bottom half.
Kennedy has revealed how PIF will look to tackle this summer’s transfer window.
(24:05) “I think they’ll surprise a few with their approach, I think they’ll first probably try and pick up a few free transfers, there are quite a lot of high-level free transfers, I think that’ll determine how much they spend this summer.
I see a lot of talk of budgets, no team, and no owner worth their salt will ever give away how much they’ve got to spend, it’s simple business.”
TIF Thoughts on Newcastle’s summer transfer window…
This may well come as a shock to a lot of people both inside and out of Tyneside as the Magpies are now seen as one of the wealthiest clubs in the world, so to find out they will be targeting free agents this summer, could be slightly shocking.
However, if the free-agent market allows PIF to ensure the Magpies bring in a sufficient and good enough level of players this summer, while also remaining within the boundaries of Financial Fair Play regulations before they then go out and splash the big money on one or two marquee signings.
