BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton has said Leeds United supporters should still be worried about the threat of relegation.

Over the weekend, Burnley beat Wolves 1-0 which means the Clarets have now picked up seven points from their last three matches.

As a result, it means they have risen out of the relegation zone and sit just two points behind Leeds. The Whites have six games left to play in the season and sit only four points above Everton in the relegation zone.

And so, looking at the table, Sutton warned fans it could all go pear-shaped very soon if they don’t pick up some vital points in the coming weeks as he hints that Robbie Savage’s comment has jinxed the Yorkshire club.

Indeed, he took to Twitter to write: “Leeds going down “impossible” says Robbie Savage…I’d be worried now Leeds fans.”

TIF thoughts on Leeds and the relegation battle…

The Whites could take a huge step towards safety tonight as they travel away to Crystal Palace in the Premier League. As things stand, Burnley have played one more game than them, so if Jesse Marsch’s men can get a win, they would push themselves five points above the nearest threat with five matches to go.

That game is all the more important Leeds then have to play Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea back-to-back, which could leave them in a fair amount of trouble.

Taking all that into account, Sutton may well have a valid point as he suggests fans should be feeling the heat right now.
