Wilfried Zaha has sent a message on Instagram after receiving criticism from fellow players for his latest display in a Crystal Palace shirt.

Zaha is currently enjoying his best season in front of goal in the Premier League with 11 goals, however, that doesn’t appear to be enough to have pushed Crystal Palace on from last season, with the Eagles in the bottom half of the table and might be fortunate to finish higher than their 14th-placed finish from last campaign.

Is Wilfried Zaha a diver?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

There have been several opportunities where Zaha has been linked with a move away and has even asked to leave the Eagles in the past, but he’s always stayed at Selhurst Park – which is no surprise given how important he is, with the most shot-creating actions and progressive yards when dribbling on top of being their top scorer, showing his their main outlet in the final third.

Crystal Palace ground out a tough 0-0 draw on Monday night with Zaha being fouled five times – something he wouldn’t have been happy about – although Kalvin Phillips of Leeds United claimed that the winger ‘dives a lot‘, with this sort of criticism seeing Zaha post a picture of himself with the caption: ‘Got to understand people will speak on your life no matter what you do…. So I let them enjoy the show.”

TIF Thoughts on Zaha…

Think you're the biggest Crystal Palace fan? Then who is the club's record signing?

It’s not just Zaha who has clearly had enough of these recent comments, with podcaster and Crystal Palace fan Dan Cook dedicating an entire episode to defending the winger, who will go down as a Palace legend considering how long he’s been with the Eagles and the fact that he’s the club’s all-time top scorer in the Premier League.

There’s no doubt that Zaha is a talented player, as shown through the number of times opposition players have to hack him down just to stop him from progressing up the pitch, but it must be very frustrating for the Ivory Coast international to see comments labelling him a diver as such a high number of fouls would suggest otherwise.
