Matty Cash has recently extended his contract with Aston Villa, meaning that he will remain at the club for another five years.
Cash has been a mainstay in the Premier League over the past two seasons for Aston Villa. In this campaign, he has started every single Premier League game and has chipped in with three goals and three assists from right-back.
These consistent performances have earned him a call-up for Poland, who recently qualified for the World Cup in November. After what has been a successful campaign for Cash, he has recently been rewarded with a new deal that will keep him at Villa Park for five more years.
Cash took to Instagram to update his fans on his new contract, and as well as a number of teammates, Villa striker Ollie Watkins showed his love in the comment section of the post, as can be seen below:
TIF Thoughts on Matty Cash…
Cash has been superb since he made the jump to the Premier League following a move from Nottingham Forest. This season, he averages 2.5 tackles and 2.3 clearances per game, and has two goals and two assists in his last six games, as per SofaScore.
When Steven Gerrard was manager of Rangers, he managed to spur them onto the SPFL title, and right-back James Tavernier was key, chipping in with goals and assists, and Gerrard has seemingly managed to transfer this to something that Cash has added to his game, and he evidently seems him in his long-term plans, after extending his stay at the club for five more years.
