Fabrizio Romano has been speaking about the interest Arsenal have in Gabriel Jesus on the Que Golazo YouTube channel.
It has previously been reported by The Athletic’s David Ornstein that Arsenal are indeed interested in signing Gabriel Jesus this summer in what would likely be a cut-price deal considering that the striker’s contract is set to expire next summer.

Jesus has a pretty impressive record since joining Manchester City with 93 goals and 46 assists in 230 games, which considering the fact he was behind Sergio Aguero in the pecking order for so long and has been deployed as a winger on numerous occasions, is something that Arsenal fans would surely love amid the rumours.
Romano has claimed that Arsenal and Jesus’ agents are now in direct contact about the player.
He said: “At the moment, there are not even conversations between Manchester City and Gabriel Jesus to extend the contract, so that’s why there are huge chances for him to leave the club on a free.
“Arsenal [have] had direct conversation with his agents, but they’re not the only club, but Arsenal are in contact with his agents.”

With Arsenal soon to have a glaringly obvious issue at the striker position come the end of the season with Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette set to leave as free agents, bringing someone in with experience in the league and at winning silverware would be an astute piece of business.
Jesus would potentially arrive and be able to establish himself as the first-choice striker at the Emirates Stadium as there would be no other options there, and thus be able to finally showcase his full talent and ability instead of being handed starts in drips and drabs under Pep Guardiola at Man City, so it would surely be a top signing if Arsenal can pull it off.
