Journalist Dean Jones has claimed that Arsenal definitely have the chance of signing Richarlison in the summer transfer window.

Premier League forward Richarlison has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park in the summer, after he has reportedly told his agent that he wants to leave Everton in the summer, to keep his chances of going to the World Cup with Brazil alive.

Arsenal’s current main man up top Alexandre Lacazette’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, so the Gunners may be keen to get a new striker in the door in the summer.

With Richarlison reportedly wanting to leave Everton, Dean Jones told GiveMeSport that the Brazilian striker will be an option for Mikel Arteta in the summer.

“I think Arsenal definitely have a possibility of signing Richarlison. They know that he could leave Everton and is likely to leave Everton in the summer. They’ve been offered the chance to sign him,” Jones said.

Interestingly, it has been claimed that Edu is a ‘big fan’ of the Brazilian attacker.

With Lacazette’s contract set to expire at the end of the season, Mikel Arteta may opt against offering the Frenchman a new deal, after he has scored just four goals in 26 Premier League games so far for the Gunners.

Richarlison has scored seven goals in 25 Premier League games for the Toffees this season, so he would be an upgrade on the French striker for Arsenal, and with the supply of Martin Odegaard, Emile Smith-Rowe, and Bukayo Saka, he could produce even more goals.

The Brazilian forward is also just 24-years-old so he will have a lot of time to develop and mould into the type of forward that Arteta will want for his side.
