Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic has praised Josip Juranovic on Instagram after the Croatian posted an Instagram photo of him eight years ago standing with Mario Mandzukic and Mateo Kovacic.

Juranovic has been a mainstay in the Celtic side this season, he has featured 32 times for his side in all competitions whilst chipping in with four goals and one assist, according to Transfermarkt. The 26-year-old has recently been named in the Croatia national squad and played 90 minutes on Saturday against Slovenia.

Celtic currently sit top of the Scottish Premiership, and they have what could be described as a title decider in their first game back after the international break against Rangers.

Ange Postecoglou was given a huge boost after Croatian boss Zlatko Dalic told his national media team that Juranovic may be rested for their second friendly, meaning he will be fresh for the Old Firm derby.

The Croatian defender took to Instagram to show how far he has come, and Celtic teammate Tom Rogic showed his love in the comments section, commenting: “Amazing bro.”

TIF Thoughts on Josip Juranovic…

Juranovic has been in fine form for Celtic this season, being named in SofaScore’s Team of the Week on five occasions, has an average passing accuracy in the Scottish Premiership of 87% and has helped his side keep 10 clean sheets.

Celtic signed Juranovic from Legia Warszawa at the start of the season and he has seemingly made an impact on the team following last season’s failure to win the Premiership as the Hoops now sit top of the league and in the driving seat to go on and win the title.

Juranovic could be vital for Celtic in the remainder of the season, as his good form could help Postecoglou’s side push on and achieve Celtic’s 10th title in 11 years.
