Tottenham Hotspur loanee Bryan Gil has been selected for the Spanish under 21s, playing a key part in a dominant win on Friday night.
Gil and his teammates brushed aside Lithuania, winning 8-0, with the Spurs man playing a key part in the game. He only played the opening 45 minutes, but he did contribute with a goal and assist as the Spanish under 21s took a 5-0 lead into the interval.

He then did the usual post game thing, taking to Instagram to share an image to convey his pride at representing his country, even if it is just at under 21 level and not first team:
Sergio Reguilon commented with ‘juegas mucho’ ie ‘you play a lot’ to have a joke with his teammate. Spurs fans will enjoy seeing that their players are still good mates despite one being out on loan, showing the togetherness they’ve formed at the club under Antonio Conte.

Gil has played a lot this season too, he’s featured in 30 games in this campaign for Spurs and Valencia in all competitions, not to mention some national team exploits. However, at club level he ahs only assisted twice. So the winger will be able to take plenty of confidence from his exploits for the under 21 national team.
