Journalist Michael Bridge has claimed that there will be nothing finalized on Harry Kane’s future until the summer transfer window.

Kane was heavily linked with a move away from Spurs in the summer, but a move to Manchester City failed to go through, which led to a bad spell of form for the English striker as he scored just five goals in his opening 21 Premier League games.

A move to the red side of Manchester has been rumoured recently for Kane amid talk that Mauricio Pochettino could take over as manager at Manchester United, which could lure England’s skipper into a transfer to Old Trafford due to their connection from the Argentine’s time at Spurs.

However, Bridge reported to GiveMeSport that a decision won’t be made on what the future holds for Kane until at least the end of the season.

He said: “I think his future is on hold until the end of the season. I think anything you read on the back pages at the moment is filling papers.”

TIF Thoughts on Michael Bridge’s comments…

Kane has seriously turned his poor form at the beginning of the season around, as he now has seven goals and three assists in his last seven Premier League games for Spurs, whilst also creating 13 big chances in the 28 Premier League games that he has featured in, according to SofaScore.

The English forward was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City in the summer, as Spurs had yet another failed season where they didn’t win a trophy. Even though a deal failed to go through, there is still further speculation of a move away from Spurs in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Bridge has claimed that the news is just paper talk so far, but with Spurs going yet another campaign without a trophy and potentially not competing in the Champions League next season, it could be argued that Kane may look to push for a move away from the north London club in the summer.
