Journalist Dean Jones has claimed that Spurs will be keen to sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus after it was announced that he would leave the club in the summer.

Paulo Dybala is enduring his seventh season at Juventus and this is reportedly his last one, as he is out of contract and will not be renewing in the summer. The Argentine has featured over 200 times for Juventus across the seven years that he has been at the club, whilst scoring 80 goals and registering 41 assists, according to Transfermarkt.

Spurs recently acquired Dejan Kulusevski on loan from Juventus in January, and Conte would surely be keen on signing the Swede on a permanent deal in the summer after he has six goal involvements in his first nine Premier League games. Dybala already has the Juventus connection with Kulusevski, so they could become a real force in the Spurs attack with Son and Harry Kane next season.

Spurs have been keeping tabs on Dybala for some time now, and when Dean Jones spoke to GIVEMESPORT, he noted that the news that the Argentine will be available in the summer is “significant” to the English club.

“This Dybala news is hugely significant to Spurs – they will certainly be in the running for him. He could be the man that helps convince Harry Kane of their ambition,” Jones said.

TIF Thoughts on Dean Jones’s comments…

Paulo Dybala has featured 53 times in the Champions League for Juventus, and this is the type of player that could persuade Harry Kane to stay at the club in Jones’ eyes. In the past, Spurs have lacked ambition with their signings in the past, and even went one window signing nobody. But, to be fair, signings have been slowly getting better in terms of seeing performance on the field as Cristian Romero has really come into his own, as well as the likes of Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur.

There have been murmurs of an exit for Harry Kane in the summer and after a failed move last year, as well as the Englishman supposedly stating that his future depends on summer investment.

Kane’s form has changed since the January transfer window, and this could be down to the introduction of Dejan Kulusevski at the club, as Kane has now had more supply in attack, without solely relying on Son.

And, things could get even better with Dybala as he has been a real threat in attack for Juventus. He averages a very impressive player rating of 7.4 over the past 12 months, has an average of 3.6 shots a game, and has created 10 big chances for his side, as per Sofascore.
