Club insider ExWHUemployee has stated that West Ham United duo Andriy Yarmolenko and Ryan Fredericks are ‘almost certain’ to leave this summer.

Towards the end of each season, every club across the footballing world must decide who they want to keep at the club and who they are willing to let go. It seems such thoughts are already under consideration at West Ham, with a number of players set to see their contracts expire soon.

Indeed, two players who look set to be sent to the departure lounge are Yarmolenko and Fredericks, who both have deals with the club that come to an end in June 2022.

While speaking about the pair on The West Ham Way podcast, Ex explained that it seems likely they won’t be offered extensions to keep them in east London any longer.

He said: “There’s a few players that they want to sort of finalise, but I get the impression that Fredericks and Yarmolenko, at this point, are almost certain to go.

“But we shall see, with time.”

Considering Fredericks has played just 123 minutes of Premier League football this season and finds himself behind Vladimir Coufal and  Ben Johnson in the fight for the right-back position, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if his contract won’t be extended.

With Yarmolenko, though, it may come as a little bit of a disappointment for some fans. Although, in general, his game time has also been limited, in recent weeks he has proven himself with some crucial late goals in the league and Europa League.

Still, if Ex’s claim is accurate, it seems as though David Moyes is not quite sentimental enough to offer the Ukrainian a new deal purely based on some emotional recent moments.
