Liverpool have a crazy April schedule that will include a Champions League quarter-final, the FA Cup semi-final and a run of huge Premier League games. The biggest of them all being the showdown at the Etihad where many believe the title will be decided.

The Reds could already be on the back foot however, as Trent Alexander-Arnold is currently sidelined with an injury and had to withdraw from the England squad. His potential absence for such huge games are a massive worry for Jurgen Klopp.

Alexander-Arnold has been dropping positive updates from behind-the-scenes on his Instagram however, showing him doing recovery work and potentially getting back on the grass sooner than expected.

Now, journalist Pete O’Rourke has looked at the potential impact his return could have on the Reds: “It’d be a massive boost for Liverpool if Trent Alexander-Arnold is fitter sooner than expected.”

Right-back is the one position Liverpool don’t have a natural replacement for, making it even more of a worry if he is to be absent for a number of weeks. They’ll continue to call upon Joe Gomez and James Milner to stand in.
