Will Raphinha leave Leeds in the summer?

This was a low point in Leeds United's history, but how many points did they get in the 2003/04 campaign?

TIF Thoughts on Raphinha…

Leeds fans will no doubt love the footage of Raphinha as this is coming while the winger and Leeds are still in discussions over a new contract amid interest from the likes of Liverpool and Bayern Munich. Even amid all of that there appears to be no denying his clear love for Leeds after what was caught on camera.

It’s clear that Raphinha is one of Leeds’ best players and considering he was only brought in for £17 million, he’s proving to be one of the best signings the club have made for years especially this season with the winger putting the side in his back countless times and carrying them to crucial points with his nine goals and three assists.

He has the highest average rating of any Leeds player this season (WhoScored), holds the joint-most assists and is the club’s top scorer. As well as this, he ranks first in shots per game, key passes per game and dribbles per game, which highlights just how influential he is in the final third.

If Leeds are wanting to keep Raphinha for the long term they will have to ensure that their ambitions on the pitch match his own, which are surely to be greater than battling it out in a relegation fight for seasons to come.
