Journalist Paul Brown has claimed that Anwar El Ghazi may not feature a lot for Everton from now until the end of the season.

Since he arrived from Aston Villa on loan in January, Anwar El Ghazi has featured just twice for the Toffees, both appearances have been from the bench. Which is even worse than before his move to Goodison Park, as he featured nine times in the Premier League, with five of those appearances being from the bench.

And, it doesn’t look as if things are about to get any better as Paul Brown spoke to GIVEMESPORT and claimed that he can’t see how El Ghazi will be given any sort of game time between now and the end of the season.

“I can’t see him playing many games from now to the end of the season, because he’s got so many people in front of him in the pecking order,” Brown said.

TIF Thoughts on Anwar El Ghazi…

Anwar El Ghazi, who is valued at £9 million (as per Transfermarkt), featured 28 times for Aston Villa and scored an impressive 10 goals, especially as 11 of those appearances were from the bench.

It must be very frustrating for both Everton fans and El Ghazi himself to not be able to get any game time, as most of the players who get on the pitch don’t seem to be doing enough. It’s clear to see that El Ghazi can produce in the Premier League when he has the confidence, so surely it’s worth giving him a bit more of a chance.

The Toffees have lost their last four Premier League games, so something clearly has to change.

Of course, El Ghazi could end up offering nothing and the potential experiment could go to waste, but it may be worth a shot at this stage in the season with three games in hand to play with.
