Greg O’Keeffe has dropped a positive injury claim on Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin while speaking on the All Together Now podcast.

Calvert-Lewin’s season has much mirrored how Everton’s campaign has gone, very unsuccessful and one to forget as soon as possible with the striker having netted three goals all season with his last coming back in August and the Toffees are level on points with Watford who are 18th in the Premier League.

Will Everton beat Newcastle?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

O’Keeffe is hopeful that Calvert-Lewin will play tonight if he’s been doing some form of training.

(5:09) “Calvert-Lewin you have to say is touch and go if we’re going to have him available against Newcastle, you’d hope so if he trains lightly.”

It looks like he got his wish as Lampard has confirmed that he’s been back in light training.

Which of these Serie A stars did the Toffees miss out on?

Last season Calvert-Lewin netted 21 goals across all competitions for Everton and that saw them finish the season a good distance away from the relegation zone, so it’s no coincidence given how poor he’s been, Everton have also struggled throughout the campaign.

Everton have now scored the fourth-fewest goals in the Premier League this season so if they are to beat the drop then Calvert-Lewin will need to start hitting the back of the net with consistency as he did last season, preferably starting tonight in what is likely to be their biggest game of the season against Newcastle United.
