Joseph Masi has delivered an update on the future of Steve Bruce at West Brom while speaking on the Baggies Broadcast podcast.
Bruce was the man West Brom saw as the best successor to former manager Valerien Ismael at The Hawthorns, however, it took him six attempts to win his first league match, which came at the weekend against Hull City.

West Brom have pretty much kissed any promotion hopes they had goodbye when Bruce came in given their poor run of form under their new manager, but despite just being on an 18-month contract at the minute, he may be sticking around for longer, according to Masi – even if the Baggies don’t earn promotion.
Masi has given an insight into what the future holds for Bruce.
He said: “Everything we’re hearing and the way he talks, he certainly isn’t here for six months. He doesn’t talk like he’s keeping the seat warm – which, if I’m being honest, I kind of felt Sam Allardyce was, it’s a very, very different feeling.”

The very experienced English manager took over from Ismael with the Baggies sitting in sixth place and inside the play-offs, however, since then, Bruce has seen his side tumble into the bottom half of the league.
If fortunes and form don’t turn around before the end of the season, it would surely be a bizarre decision from the West Brom board to keep Bruce at the helm if these early results are going to be anything to go by.
