Steven Davis was left very impressed on Instagram by the performance of Calvin Bassey in Rangers’ latest victory.
Rangers had yet another memorable European night on Thursday evening at Ibrox as held out for a 2-2 draw which saw them progress in the Europa League with a 6-4 win on aggregate.

Someone that did indeed impress against Borussia Dortmund was Bassey as he was a powerhouse, disrupting all of the plays that Dortmund were looking to start – winning two tackles, while making three interceptions and three blocks.
Davis, who remained on the bench for the two legs, commented on Bassey’s latest Instagram photo, claiming the midfielder was in ‘beast mode’ last night.

This season has been a real breakout one for Bassey who only joined from Leicester’s Under-23s in 2020 and until this season, had only made 15 appearances for the Gers, however, this campaign has seen him become a regular, featuring 32 times already.
He’s clearly already a key man for the Gers, as out of the players who have featured more than six times in the league, Bassey has the third-best points-per-match record, currently averaging 2.48 a game (FBRef).
