Celtic defender Josip Juranovic has taken to Instagram to praise his in-form Celtic teammate Giorgos Giakoumakis.
Over the weekend, the Greek striker managed to bag a hat-trick as the Bhoys claimed a thrilling 3-2 Scottish Premier League victory over Dundee. His first two efforts came just four minutes apart, and then in the 86th minute with the scores tied a 2-2, he struck again to give his team all three points.
After the match, Giakoumakis took to Instagram himself to share some photos from his performance, as well as including the caption: “I love this feeling!”
It seems as though Juranovic was delighted for his high-flying teammate as he sent back a message of support, which simply said: “Class.” He also included four fire emojis to emphasise his point.
Clearly, Juranovic was not alone in his support as a number of other Celtic players – such as Joe Hart, Anthony Ralston, and Adam Montgomery – also commented on the post.
Giakoumakis’ winner was the sixth goal the striker has scored since the start of January, taking his season tally to seven in all competitions – showing that 2022 could perhaps be a big year for him.
No doubt, manager Ange Postecoglou will be hoping the 27-year-old can play a key part in the coming months as the Bhoys look to claim the league title.
