Fabrizio Romano has been speaking on the latest episode of the Here We Go podcast to discuss the future of Josip Juranovic at Celtic ahead of the summer window.

The Croatian right-back joined the Bhoys in the summer for a fee in the region of £2.7m, however, Romano believes Celtic will receive a lot of interest for him.

Are you worried Juranovic may leave?

Juranovic has played a huge role in Ange Postecoglou’s side since the Australian took charge, with 20 appearances already to his name in the Scottish Premiership (via Transfermarkt).

But with the 26-year-old playing a big role in Celtic’s charge for the title, it has seemingly attracted the attention of many other clubs including Leicester City in the English Premier League.

Juranovic still has over four years remaining on his current deal with the Bhoys, but Romano had the following to say on the expected interest to arrive in the summer:

“Juranovic is a very interesting name to keep an eye on. Leicester, but not only Leicester [are interested] this is the right-back playing for Celtic. His price will be around 10, 12, 15 million euros, so we will see the final price tag.

“But this boy is doing great with Celtic. He’s performing at top level, one of the most interesting right-backs on the market, and I have the feeling that in the summer, he has chances to move. So I am told that many clubs are exploring this opportunity. Keep an eye on Juranovic.”

TIF Thoughts on Josip Juranovic’s future…

This will likely come as frustrating news to many Celtic fans given the solid start to the season Juranovic has had, having established himself as Postecoglou’s first-choice right-back.

However, we saw it over the summer where a Premier League club – Crystal Palace, in this instance – came in for one of Celtic’s players in Odsonne Edouard with an offer too good to turn down.

And if a bid was to come in for Juranovic in the summer of up to €15m (£12.6m) – as Romano claims – would Celtic be willing to pass by the opportunity to make around £10m in profit on the defender?
