Pablo Fornals has taken to Instagram to post about West Ham United’s draw in the Europa League.
West Ham found out their Europa League fate at midday on Friday after the play-offs for the last 16 were completed on Thursday evening – and the Hammers were handed one of the toughest draws.
Can West Ham win the Europa League?
Yes!
No!
They will face Sevilla, four-time champions in the last eight seasons, but with West Ham doing very well domestically this season and once again pushing for the top four, they’re unlikely to have any fear heading into the two-legged affair.
Fornals showcased this likely spirit by simply accompanying a picture of their draw with the caption #COYI.
TIF Thoughts on West Ham’s draw…
It’s certainly not the most ideal opponent for David Moyes and the Hammers to face so early on in the knockout rounds, however, their thinking will likely be that you’ll have to face the best teams at some point anyway.
West Ham can take confidence into the clash from both their position in the Premier League and how well they performed in the group stages earlier this season, dropping points in only the final round of fixtures, which was not too important given they’d already won the group.
Fornals certainly seems as if he is looking forward to the tie, which will see him return to his homeland.
