Presenter ExWHUemployee has revealed that West Ham United are interested in signing teenage prospect Alex Scott.

In Jarrod Bowen, David Moyes has the perfect example of a young player who made the step up from Championship to Premier League football in great style.

Indeed, the former Hull City winger impressed with a number of goals for his side in England’s second tier, before transferring his skills admirably to the top division.

It looks as though the Hammers may want to repeat the trick as they eye up a possible move for Scott, who currently plays for Bristol City.

While talking on The West Ham Way podcast, Ex listed a number of players who could be of interest to the club this summer, before naming the teenager as an option.

He said: “Alex Scott, who plays for Bristol City, is a midfielder, is only 18. But he’s been labelled the next Grealish – ‘The Guernsey Grealish’, someone said in a report when I looked him up when I was given these names.”

TIF Thoughts on Alex Scott and West Ham…

Despite being just 18 years of age, Scott has already cemented his place in the Bristol City team as a regular. This season, he has played in 27 games across all competitions.

On top of that, he has contributed three league goals and two assists even though he has played in a number of roles at different times, including a more defensive-midfield position (via Transfermarkt).

Of course, with a label such as the next Jack Grealish to his name already, expectations will be high if Scott does end up at West Ham. But, if he lives up to those standards, perhaps he can be the club’s next Bowen instead.
