Tottenham Hotspur finally woke up during the January transfer window on Deadline Day, bringing in Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur. But once again, no striker arrived.

Spurs went into the season with just Harry Kane as their only recognised first-team striker, and despite another transfer window coming and going, the England captain remains the only main option in that area at the club.

Have Spurs signed enough players?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Kane has been in better form under Antonio Conte, but with just five league goals this term, he’s still nowhere near his best and the type of performances he’s capable of which he’s been producing for the last few seasons.

Jack Pitt-Brooke from The Athletic has been left bemused by the fact there seems to be ‘no obvious plan B if Kane gets injured’, which he’s suspect to in most seasons, especially his ankle.

It will be difficult for the club and board to find someone who is good enough for Tottenham Hotspur, but who will also be happy to sit on the bench for most games and play in cup matches when Kane is being rested.

Kulusevski, who arrived on a temporary basis in January, has played through the middle for Juventus. However, that will likely not be enough if Kane was to pick up an injury, so when it comes to the summer, Antonio Conte will surely put a lot of focus into finding a good enough strike partner or at least someone that can push him – so potentially a younger goalscorer.
